Intertwining Space and Art: Cross-disciplinary Collaboration in Interior Design and Solo Exhibition
That was precisely the stir in my heart when I accidentally spotted this feature within the pages of Home Journal. The interviewee in the article is the renowned local interior designer, Mr. Simon Cheung. He has always been an design master whom I deeply admire and respect, a visionary whose attention to nuance is truly exceptional.
The paintings mentioned in the text stem from the many wonderful collaborations we shared over the years. Our journey began at a Stanley-based Italian restaurant designed by him. Upon his gracious invitation, I held a weeks-long solo exhibition there, showcasing over twenty pieces, including several sculptures such as Ancient Stone Horse, Ancient Stone Fish, and Ancient Dancer. It was incredibly rewarding that all three sculptures and four paintings were acquired by art enthusiasts during the show. This successful debut paved the way for our subsequent collaborations on various high-end residential projects, where we worked together to bring large-scale murals into these exquisite living spaces.
